By now we’re sure you’ve heard about the latest malware attack on Facebook. There’s a lot of information out there about what these viruses are and how they attack your accounts but we wanted to help you avoid falling prey.  Here are some tips on how to keep yourself and your brand from being the victim of one of these viruses:

Stop, think and then open.  Don’t just open emails or click on links.  Take a moment and ask yourself a few questions before clicking:

Do I know the person who is sending this to me

Is the message personalized and does it make sense.

If you aren’t sure about a message or video send a quick note to your friend asking if its authentic

If you’re sending video’s or messages keep the above tips in mind too. You don’t want others to mistake your information for a virus.
